Together, the administrative role of Director of Clinical Curriculum ( PCN A04045) and the faculty role ( PCN F03329) comprise a full-time position (1.0 FTE ). The salary range listed in this posting represents the total compensation for the combined Administrative and Faculty responsibilities. The Director of Clinical Curriculum for COMP is responsible for the oversight, development, implementation, and evaluation of the third- and fourth-year clinical curriculum for Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) students at the Pomona campus. The position provides leadership in support of curricular quality, accreditation compliance, and student academic success, including preparation for licensure examinations. The Director works in collaboration with the Clinical Education Department, the Office of Accreditation and Educational Effectiveness, the Office of Student Affairs, and other institutional stakeholders to support student progression, identify learners in need of academic support, and implement appropriate interventions. This position contributes to the continuous quality improvement of the clinical curriculum and supports the mission and strategic goals of the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP). Minimum of two (2) years of experience in undergraduate or graduate medical education. Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation. Experience with learner assessment, remediation strategies, and board examination preparation (e.g., COMLEX-USA Level 2, USMLE Step 2). Familiarity with accreditation standards and reporting processes (e.g., COCA).Essential Job Duties Key Responsibilities Teaching and Curriculum Leadership:
Provide oversight, coordination, and strategic direction for the third- and fourth-year clinical curriculum, including the Integrative Skills for the Study of Medicine (ISSM) 6 course. Support Pomona-based educational programming, including conference weeks, and serve as partner educator for designated ISSM 5 sessions. Develop, implement, and monitor board preparation strategies forCOMLEX-USA
Level 2 and USMLE Step 2 examinations. Establish processes to identify and support learners in academic difficulty, including monitoring student progress and implementation of interventions. Collaborate with COMP-Northwest counterpart on curriculum development and alignment of learning outcomes between campuses.Key Responsibilities Administration:
Collaborate with Clinical Education Team to prepare and submit accreditation-related documentation and reports (i.e., COCA). Contribute to curriculum evaluation, continuous quality improvement initiatives, and alignment with institutional and accreditation standards.Key Responsibilities Service:
Participate in institutional committees, faculty governance, and college or community activities aligned with role responsibilities. Contribute to initiatives that support the mission and strategic priorities of the college and university.Key Responsibilities Scholarly Activity and Professional Development:
Engage in scholarly activities related to medical education and/or clinical practice. Attend professional conferences and participate in educational research, presentations, or publications to maintain and enhance teaching effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Other Duties asAssigned:
