Director of Upper School Learning Services (Part or Full Time) Greenwich Academy - 4.7 Greenwich, CT Job Details Part-time | Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Director of Upper School Learning Services (Part or Full Time) Greenwich Academy seeks an outstanding educator to serve as Director of Upper School Learning Services. The director will act as a resource for students seeking academic support, designing support plans and acting as a liaison to external psychoeducational evaluators. They will work closely with the director of upper school counseling and the chair of the health and wellness department to provide care and advocacy for students at the school. The successful candidate will have a deep and nuanced understanding of learning differences and adolescent development, and they will have expertise in implementing effective learning strategies and accommodations.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Partnering with the Upper School administration to maintain systems that support student learning and academic wellness. Managing and interpreting educational testing and neuro-psychological evaluations. Developing accessible learning profiles, faculty resources, and presentations that help the school community understand diverse learning needs and best practices in pedagogy. Coordinating with external specialists, tutors, and psychologists to ensure a cohesive support network for students.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in Special Education, School Psychology, or a related field preferred. Experience with educational assessment tools and the implementation of formal academic accommodations (e.g., College Board and ACT requirements). Demonstrated ability to present complex neuro-psychological information clearly and meaningfully to varied audiences, including parents and faculty. Experience teaching or providing direct academic support to Upper School students. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple constituencies.
