AND STUDENT LEARNING POSITION SUMMARY
Provides leadership around pathway implementation for our secondary school buildings. Collaborates with members of the Department of Academics and Student Learning to enrich curricular areas with pathway experiences, career education, College Credit Plus, student course selection, partnerships, and credentialing. Provides leadership pertaining to curriculum, school counselors, assessment, and instructional programs. Assists the Executive Director of Teaching & Learning in working with the Board, administrative team, staff, parents, community groups, and professional organizations. Implements and maintains excellent educational programs to fulfill the mission and vision outlined in the Dublin City School District.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Undergraduate degree in Education, Business, Marketing or a related field or equivalent training, education, or experience. Valid administrative certificate. Three years of successful teaching/school counseling experience. Demonstrated leadership and success in career education, College Credit Plus, CTE education, and other pathway areas. Successful demonstration of system implementation experience. Knowledge of current trends relating to pathway education and college admission. Possesses a strong knowledge of trends in internships, employment, the economy, effective interventions, technology, and industry networks. Possesses strong interpersonal skills and excels at networking to establish and maintain valuable community connections. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate. Possesses strong knowledge of school counseling, pathway advisement, and scheduling advisement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Designs and implements Pathway Specific Curriculum (Business, FCS, STEM, Applied Science) in collaboration with Curriculum Coordinators. Coordinates College Credit Plus Programming for the district and serves as district contact for college partnerships. Manages Career Technical Education (CTE) and Industry Credentials programming for the district. Serves as a liaison with Tolles Technical Center ensuring curriculum alignment and implementation. Partners with the Academic team to provide parent education around career and pathway education. Organizes and implements opportunities for students to engage with community partners and be introduced to various pathways. Serves as district representative at community events and partnership meetings in support of Education and Workforce initiatives. Develops and support pre-apprentice programming. Maintains industry partner database. Oversees academy curriculum development in partnership with principal of Emerald Campus. Reviews and makes recommendations for changes, as appropriate, in District policies and procedures related to the career focused programming and curriculum. Assists program specialists, teachers, school counselors and school administrators in meeting identified goals in pathway alignment and instruction. Oversees and leads district planning team meetings including curriculum and instruction development related to pathway education. Consults with and supports teachers, school counselors and school administrators in the development and implementation of Career & Technical Education curricula and special industry certification programs, Webxams and in the evaluation and selection of teaching materials and industry certification testing platforms and to align curriculum and instruction to strategic plan. Serves on various boards relating to career technical education and workforce. Provides opportunities for teachers to obtain appropriate professional development through workshops, industry certification and graduate courses Analyzes state and District Career Based assessment and industry certification data to help target professional development needs. Compiles data for, and prepares various statistical, administrative and professional reports as required by the State, District and/or other agencies. Receives and responds to inquiries, and concerns, regarding issues, programs, policies and procedures in areas of responsibility. Facilitates and/or participates in frequent meetings with teachers, school counselors, principals, and administrators to discuss issues in areas of responsibility. Keeps abreast of developments in Pathway education curriculum, instruction, and certification and provides leadership in determining their appropriateness for inclusion in the District's instructional program in partnership with the Executive Director of Teaching & Learning. Oversees school counselors. Establishes and maintains cooperative, collaborative professional relationships. Exhibits professional behavior, emotional stability, and sound judgment. Maintains confidentiality and respect for confidential information at all times. Performs any other duties assigned by the superintendent or his/her designee.

Per the Dublin City Schools Administrative Compensation and Fringe Benefits Package.
Salary:
