Job description: The STEAM Integrator and Science Coordinator serves as an integral part of the Green Apple School Management Academic Team. Within this leadership role, the STEAM Integrator and Science Coordinator works collaboratively with the Green Apple (GA) CEO and the Academic Leadership Team, as well as school leaders and staff, to provide direction and leadership in the development of STEAM-related programs and high-quality science instruction at all schools managed by Green Apple School Management. The STEAM Integrator and Science Coordinator demonstrates a deep understanding of the science and mathematics Florida state standards and K-12 state-adopted curriculum programs used at the schools. He/she promotes continual improvement of teaching practices and student performance within STEAM disciplines, with a special emphasis on science instruction. He/she uses analytical skills to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and instruction, identify weaknesses, and make necessary changes or adjustments as needed. As a critical member of the Green Apple Academic Team, the STEAM Integrator and Science Coordinator organizes and delivers professional learning for teachers and leaders related to science instruction and STEAM programming. He/she also monitors program budgets; responds to inquiries about the schools' science curriculum and STEAM initiatives; organizes and attends PLCs with teachers and leaders to discuss programs, strategies, initiatives, and best practices for enhancing the schools' science program and STEM initiatives, and establishes community partnerships to enhance STEAM programming.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education or other field; Master's degree preferred State of Florida Teaching Certification in Science-Related Area preferred Minimum of five years relevant teaching experience (high school highly preferred) Leadership or coaching experience preferred Proficiency in software or technology platforms used at the schools
