Job Description
Overview The Legacy Golf Club is seeking a knowledgeable, PGA-certified golf instructor with proven experience teaching players of all ages and skill levels. Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Instruction will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, club fittings, and other related instructional services. PGA/LPGA
Class A professional or Associate. Extensive experience teaching players of all levels. Proficiency with modern golf technology (TrackMan, GCQuad, video, biomechanical analysis). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities. Proven ability to grow instructional programs and revenue.Essential Responsibilities Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee all instructional programs and develop a comprehensive curriculum for clinics, private lessons, junior camps, and specialized coaching. Deliver high-quality instruction that supports player development across all skill levels. Provide private, group, and on-course lessons while ensuring an exceptional learning experience. Grow lesson revenue, student participation, and the overall reputation of the club's instructional offerings. Incorporate modern technology (launch monitors, video analysis, club-fitting tools) to enhance student improvement. Conduct seasonal programs—including clinics, academies, and camps—that serve juniors, adults, beginners, and competitive players. Promote instructional services, drive lesson bookings, and collaborate with club leadership and events staff to support business growth.Program Leadership & Management:
Design, schedule, and lead the overall instructional program for the facility. Establish teaching standards and coaching philosophies consistent with facility goals. Promote instructional programs through marketing, social media, and member engagement. Oversee club-fitting and club-repair services to support sales and customer satisfaction. Actively engage with members and guests to promote programs and build relationships. Serve as the club's ambassador for learning and game improvement. Regularly communicate new programs, achievements, and instructional updates. Maintain relationships with members/guests, handle feedback, and ensure a positive learning environment.Facility & Technology Management:
Ensure all teaching spaces and practice areas are clean, organized, and optimized for instruction. Manage and maintain instructional technology, including video systems, simulators, launch monitors, and training aids. Integrate advanced tools—such as swing-analysis software and launch monitors—into lessons to enhance student performance.Professional Development & Industry Standards:
MaintainPGA/LPGA
membership while staying up to date with current coaching trends. Continue education in teaching methodologies, biomechanics, and golf technology.
