RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead curriculum and assessment development in all content areas, incorporating content area literacy standards, WIDA standards, high-quality formative and summative assessments, and establish curricular alignment. Evaluate current curriculum and assessment practices to allow for discontinuity of ineffective or inequitable practices and development of improved and more equitable practices. Guide teachers in the learning and implementation of best practices in responsive instruction, including (but not limited to) lesson design, sheltered instruction, formative assessment, culturally responsive instruction, and differentiation. Expose ineffective and inequitable practices and lead teams in transitioning to more effective research-based practices. Create conditions that provide feedback to teachers and stimulate actionable response to student learning and need. Lead school-based data teams, data analysis, and the design of responsive instruction based on data analysis (state level assessments, ACCESS 2.0 and local assessments). Create and coordinate leadership development opportunities for teachers to support school-based curriculum and assessment work that will impact instruction, student learning, and greater equity of access for all students. Develop and lead a variety of professional development opportunities for individual teachers, departments or grade level groups, or entire staffs. Collaborate with administrators to design plans for professional learning that measure the impact on both teacher and student learning, are responsive to teacher need, and aligned to district and school improvement initiatives. Evaluate professional learning through monitoring measurable outcomes of teacher learning and implementation linked to school- and district goals, as well as the impact on student learning. 8 . Incorporate and support teachers in integrating digital tools into instructional practice. Inform staff and administrators of current research and best practice to positively impact student learning. Participate in ongoing professional development and collaboration. Keep a log of daily activities to reflect work with students and teachers, as well as other reports as required. Perform other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
