Job Description
Build a brighter future for all children. As the Director or Assistant Director of Education, you'll join a team that is committed to creating a safe, healthy environment and a culture where all children and team members can thrive. The Director of Education is a part of a leadership team with primary responsibility for supporting teachers with curriculum implementation, training & development and student assessment. Make a difference every day. Conduct classroom observations and provide coaching to educators to regularly support and ensure the implementation and delivery of the research-informed Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum. Support teachers in assessing students, curriculum differentiation and parent teacher communication. Lead the administration of assessment tools and coordinate referrals. Support the selection, hiring and onboarding of teaching staff. Coordinate and manage ongoing training & development for teaching staff including professional development days. Contribute to school event planning that enhances the curriculum. Partner with the Director of Operations and School Director in maintaining a healthy & safe school classroom environment. Act as a role model ensuring regulatory and health & safety compliance in classrooms. In order to inspire teachers, you need a school that inspires you. Compensation commensurate with experience, education level and qualifications. Desired skills and experience Lead Teacher Infant/Toddler/Preschool required, Director 2 preferred A degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field, and/or in administration Experience in management, business, and/or program administration Strong attention to detail, time management and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
