IFGSTL•517 Weidman Rd, Manchester, MO 63011 Position Summary The Sunday Madrasa Principal provides leadership, administration, and oversight for the Islamic weekend school program. The principal is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality Islamic education, supervising teachers and staff, maintaining an organized and disciplined learning environment, and supporting the spiritual and moral development of students. The role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, volunteers, and mosque leadership. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Academic Leadership Oversee and implement the madrasa curriculum including Qur'an, Tajweed, Fiqh, Seerah, and Islamic manners. Ensure instructional quality and consistency across all grade levels. Monitor student progress and support academic development. Organize and supervise student assessments, testing, and report cards. Staff Management Recruit, train, and supervise madrasa teachers and classroom assistants. Conduct regular staff meetings and professional guidance sessions. Provide feedback and performance evaluations for teachers. Ensure teachers follow the established curriculum and educational standards. Student Affairs Foster a safe, respectful, and positive Islamic learning environment. Implement and enforce student behavior and discipline policies. Address student concerns and behavioral issues in coordination with teachers and parents. Promote Islamic character development and good manners. Parent and Community Engagement Serve as the primary liaison between madrasa and parents. Communicate regularly regarding student progress, policies, and school activities. Organize parent meetings, orientation sessions, and community engagement events. Administrative Responsibilities Oversee student registration, enrollment, and attendance tracking. Develop class schedules and assign teachers to grade levels. Maintain accurate student and staff records. Ensure classrooms and educational resources are prepared for weekly instruction. Program Development Plan and coordinate Islamic educational events, competitions, and student programs. Support Qur'an memorization initiatives and special religious programs. Identify opportunities to improve the madrasa curriculum and educational experience. Reporting and Coordination Provide regular reports to the Education Committee or mosque leadership. Participate in strategic planning and program development meetings. Assist with budgeting and resource planning for the madrasa program. Qualifications Strong knowledge of Islamic studies and Qur'an education. Previous teaching or educational leadership experience preferred. Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and administrative skills. Ability to work effectively with children, teachers, parents, and volunteers. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to Islamic values, ethics, and community service. Preferred Qualifications Formal education in Islamic Studies or Education. Experience managing or teaching in a weekend Islamic school or madrasa. Experience with curriculum development or educational program management. Work Schedule Sundays during madrasa operating hours. Occasional additional meetings or events with teachers, parents, and mosque leadership. Physical and Work Environment Work is performed in a classroom and mosque environment.
