Job Description

Job Title:
Classroom Teacher Supervisor:
Director of Learning Spiritual Leadership Conduct morning Bible studies with your class, faithfully conveying the core principles of Christian living and discipleship. Model a Christ-centered lifestyle and character to students, parents, and colleagues. Professional Development and Collaboration Pursue ongoing professional growth by working with the Director of Learning to create a professional development pathway that models lifelong learning. Collaborate with the Director of Learning, and colleagues to strengthen instructional practices and student outcomes. Contribute to a positive school culture by demonstrating professionalism, flexibility, and a commitment to the mission and values of Hope Academy. Curriculum and Instruction Prepare and submit weekly lesson plans aligned with the Hope Academy curriculum, incorporating a variety of learning activities, projects, and resources. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, behavioral, and developmental needs of all students. Integrate technology in meaningful ways to support and enhance classroom learning. Prepare, administer, and update assessments to track student progress and inform instruction. Administer and utilize school-wide assessment tools, including NWEA MAP, to monitor student growth. Maintain and update pacing guides weekly and communicate curriculum adjustments to the Director of Learning. Utilize data to tailor instruction and implement targeted student interventions. Grade assignments in a timely manner and provide meaningful feedback to students. Maintain an organized classroom environment that is conducive to learning. Plan and execute engaging field trips in alignment with school guidelines and with administrative approval. Communication Regularly communicate with parents and guardians through conferences, phone calls, texts, and emails, ensuring timely and professional responses. Communicate with colleagues and administration in a timely and professional manner. Coordinate with classroom volunteers to set expectations, schedule support, and manage classroom resources. Classroom Management and Student Support Foster a classroom environment that values each student as a unique individual and promotes respect and belonging. Implement classroom management strategies, including clear routines, transitions, and redirection, to maximize instructional time. Enforce classroom expectations in alignment with the school-wide culture plan and restorative practices. Student Safety and Supervision Maintain active supervision of students at all times and ensure a safe and secure learning environment. Report any concerns related to student safety, including suspected abuse or neglect, in accordance with school policies and state requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the classroom for extended periods of time. Ability to supervise students in both indoor and outdoor settings, including recess and field trips. Ability to lift, carry, and move classroom materials and supplies up to 10-25 pounds. Ability to respond quickly to student needs in a variety of situations. Additional Responsibilities Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and required documentation. Uphold all policies and procedures as outlined in school handbooks and manuals. Participate in school events and contribute to the overall school community. Perform other duties as assigned by school leadership.
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
