Job Description

Job Description Job Summary:
. The Assistant Director will lead efforts to translate NSWERS' technical data products and research outputs into accessible, actionable knowledge for educators, postsecondary leaders, workforce developers, and policymakers. This role will supervise a team of consultants and work in close collaboration with NSWERS' Information Technology, Research & Evaluation, and Communications divisions to ensure training, education, and outreach efforts align with technical capabilities, research/evaluation products, and NSWERS' communications standards. The Assistant Director plays a critical role in helping partners understand and apply NSWERS' technical data products. This includes not only facilitating the use of NSWERS platforms and reports, but also possessing strong analytical and statistical skills to interpret data, guide data-informed decision-making, and train others in how to understand and analyze NSWERS information.

NSWERS Profile The Nebraska P-20W data initiative, known as NSWERS, is a partnership of the Nebraska prekindergarten, elementary, secondary, and postsecondary educational systems to use data and information to further evidence-based policy and practices. The NSWERS partners also work in affiliation with the Nebraska Department of Labor to examine the intersection of education and the workforce with the goal of providing research-based insight to meet Nebraska's current and future workforce needs. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of progressive experience in professional development, training, or stakeholder engagement. Demonstrated ability to design and deliver professional and technical training programs for diverse audiences. Background in working with data visualization, reporting, or evaluation tools. Strong skills in data analysis and interpretation, including the ability to understand, explain, and apply complex data products and research findings. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into actionable knowledge. Experience collaborating across multiple teams and stakeholder groups. Equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in statistics, psychology, education, computer science or related quantitative field Experience in education (K-12 or postsecondary), workforce development, or related sectors. Familiarity with program evaluation, strategic planning, and evidence-based decision-making. Experience with learning management systems, digital training platforms, or hybrid training environments. Background in working with data visualization, reporting, or evaluation tools.
