JOB DESCRIPTION
The Phillipsburg School District is seeking an innovative and student-centered educational leader to serve as the Director of Response to Intervention (RTI) for grades K-12. The Director of RTI will lead the implementation, coordination, and continuous improvement of a district-wide RTI framework designed to improve student achievement, support early identification of academic and behavioral challenges, and ensure targeted interventions for all learners.
QUALIFICATIONS, MANDATORY
Valid New Jersey Principal Certification Experience as a principal, director, or central office administrator Demonstrated success improving student achievement and supporting students with academic and behavioral needs Expertise in RTI processes, tiered interventions, progress monitoring, and universal screening practices Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Experience leading professional development and facilitating collaborative teams Ability to analyze student performance data and guide data-driven instructional practices Proficiency with educational technology and RTI data systems Required criminal history background check
QUALIFICATIONS, DESIRED
Experience implementing and managing
K-12 RTI/MTSS
frameworks Knowledge of evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions Experience with RTI Direct and other educational data management systems Ability to coach teachers and administrators in intervention implementation and instructional best practices Experience coordinating ESEA grant programs and federal compliance requirements Reading Specialist and/or Special Education certification preferred Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a professional learning community All correspondence regarding this position should be addressed as follows:
