Hebrew Public manages schools in New York City and Philadelphia, and also supports an affiliate network of schools in California, Washington DC, New Jersey, and Minnesota. The Assistant Director of Curriculum and Instruction is a network-based role that supports the design, implementation, and improvement of instructional practices across Hebrew Public schools. As a member of the Program Team, this role strengthens curriculum execution, coaching systems, and teacher development, ensuring school teams have the tools and support needed to deliver high-quality instruction aligned to network priorities. This role reports to the Senior Director of Curriculum and Instruction. What You'll Do Curriculum & Materials Development Provide administrative and project management support to ensure strong execution of instructional initiatives Develop and refine instructional materials to support teachers and leaders including lesson internalization tools, exemplar materials, model resources, and assessment-aligned supports Support curriculum rollout, including pacing, unit alignment, and resource coherence Coaching & Teacher Development Support Provide targeted support to instructional leaders and/or teachers, including modeling, co-planning, observations and feedback Contribute to the design and facilitation of professional development sessions Assist with planning and execution of network PD (e.g., Summer Institute, Leader PD) Data & Instructional Responsiveness Support the use of student data to inform instructional decisions Assist in analyzing trends across classrooms, grade levels, and schools Help develop tools and systems that support data-driven instruction Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives Lead and support high-priority, cross-functional instructional initiatives aligned to network priorities Who You Are Strong understanding of high-quality instruction and curriculum implementation 3+ years experience in coaching and/or instructional leadership in urban public schools 5+ years teaching experience in urban public schools Strong organizational and project management skills Ability to work across multiple schools and adapt to different contexts Ability to work in person 3-4 days per week, including travel to schools in New York City and Philadelphia. All travel accommodations will be compensated. Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization skills Skilled in analyzing data to inform instruction and decision-making Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across diverse stakeholders Compensation We offer a competitive compensation package between $90,000-$120,000
