Job Description

The State College Area School District is seeking a highly organized and proactive Secretary to support the Assistant Director of Curriculum and Academic Interventions. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of K-12 academic interventions and Federal Programs, including support for grant management, scheduling, and communication across district offices. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting educational equity and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support, including scheduling, managing calendars, document preparation, and meeting coordination. Assist with Federal Programs compliance, grant documentation, and communication with nonpublic schools. Support the organization of grant applications, reports, and compliance documents to ensure timely state/federal submissions. Coordinate logistics, including travel arrangements, registrations, and reimbursements, for conferences and summer intervention program events as needed. Maintain accurate records, monitor and manage timelines, and assist with instructional material inventory and purchasing. Foster effective communication and collaboration with staff, administrators, and external partners.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality. Experience in education or grant-related settings preferred. SCASD is committed to equity and inclusion, and this role is instrumental in supporting our mission to ensure every student thrives.
