Primary Purpose Provide leadership, coordination, training, and instructional support for special education and Section 504 programs across the district. Support campuses and staff in implementing high-quality specially designed instruction, evidence-based practices, compliant IEP and 504 plan development, and effective instructional programming to improve outcomes for students receiving services and support. Serve as a district leader in supporting teachers, administrators, and related service providers through coaching, professional development, systems development, program monitoring, and instructional collaboration. Qualifications Education/Certification Master's degree in education or related field Valid Texas teaching certificate Special Education certification required Texas administrator certification preferred Special Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of

regulations, and special education compliance requirements Strong understanding of specially designed instruction, accommodations, modifications, progress monitoring, and instructional best practices for students with disabilities Knowledge of inclusive practices, behavior supports, dyslexia, transition services, and intervention systems Ability to analyze instructional and compliance data to support campus decision-making Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and collaboration skills Ability to develop and deliver professional development and instructional coaching Knowledge of data management systems and instructional technology platforms preferred Experience Minimum of five years of experience in special education Experience supporting instructional programming and teacher coaching preferred Campus or district leadership experience preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties Instructional Leadership and Program Support Support campuses in implementing high-quality specially designed instruction for students receiving special education services. Collaborate with campus administrators, instructional staff, and related service providers to improve instructional practices and student outcomes. Support instructional programming for students in specialized settings, including TLC, ECSE, inclusion, resource, behavior support, and transition programs. Support campuses in the implementation and monitoring of Section 504 processes, accommodations, and compliance requirements. Assist teachers with IEP development, PLAAFPs, goal writing, accommodations, progress monitoring, and instructional planning. Develop, maintain, and refine district-wide instructional systems, templates, forms, and resources related to special education programming. Create and support schedules of services and individualized student support systems. Monitor instructional programming and classroom implementation to ensure effective practices and alignment with district expectations. Provide live instructional modeling, coaching, and support for new, struggling, or developing teachers. Support curriculum adaptation, modified instruction, and cooperative learning practices for students with disabilities. Promote district-wide understanding and implementation of specially designed instruction (SDI). Professional Development and Training Coordinate and facilitate special education training opportunities, including New Employee Orientation, First Year Teacher Academy, Second Year Teacher Academy, Foundations/New Employee Academy, and other district professional learning opportunities. Facilitate professional development sessions for teachers, administrators, nurses, diagnosticians, LSSPs, speech staff, related service providers, and campus teams. Train staff in student data monitoring systems, IEP development, accommodation tracking, and progress monitoring procedures. Provide ongoing coaching and support for ARD procedures, instructional practices, and compliance expectations. Develop and facilitate district special education academies, PLCs, and instructional support opportunities. Support onboarding and mentoring of new special education staff and campus instructional leaders. Provide training and guidance to campus staff and administrators regarding Section 504 procedures, accommodations, documentation, and best practices. Program Implementation and Monitoring Facilitate implementation, training, monitoring, and continuous improvement of district instructional programs and tools, including TeachTown, Meta-Play, GoalBook, and other district initiatives. Monitor the effectiveness and fidelity of instructional materials, lessons, and intervention programs. Monitor missing progress reports, campus caseloads, and compliance-related instructional supports throughout the school year. Support development and implementation of systems related to accommodation tracking, ARD procedures, instructional planning, and campus data collection. Assist with district-wide development of instructional resources, teacher input forms, ARD agendas, administrative guiding documents, and service delivery systems. Support district efforts to increase administrator coaching, walkthroughs, and understanding of special education programming and instructional expectations. Monitor and support district implementation of Section 504 systems, procedures, and documentation practices to ensure compliance and consistency across campuses. Collaboration and Administrative Support Collaborate with Curriculum and Instruction teams to maintain alignment between general education and special education instructional practices. Participate in district instructional leadership meetings and support district instructional initiatives. Support campus administrators with staffing needs, hiring processes, teacher growth plans, and instructional improvement efforts. Assist campuses in monitoring and planning special education instructional resources and program expenditures. Support teacher growth through coaching, instructional feedback, ARD preparation support, and intervention planning. Collaborate with behavior teams, Section 504 coordinators, related service providers, and instructional staff to support student success across settings. Assist with TLC staffing processes, transition planning, parent participation supports, and district program development. Other Oversee the district's 18+ Transition Program, including program implementation, instructional programming, compliance, student supports, transition services, and collaboration with staff, families, and community agencies. Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information. Attend district, regional, and state meetings related to special education services and instructional practices. Assist the Director of Special Services with departmental initiatives and assigned projects. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Provide direct oversight of the district's 18+ Transition Program and support district implementation of Section 504 services and procedures, including guidance related to compliance, accommodations, instructional supports, and campus implementation. Provide instructional leadership, guidance, coaching, and support to special education staff and campus teams across the district.
