We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and organized Assistant Director of Curriculum/Curriculum Coach to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for an early childhood professional who enjoys coaching teachers, maintaining high-quality classrooms, supporting curriculum implementation, and helping create an exceptional experience for children, families, and staff. The ideal candidate is a strong instructional leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to excellence in early childhood education. Position Summary The Assistant Director of Curriculum/Curriculum Coach works closely with the Director to ensure the successful implementation of the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum while maintaining high standards of classroom instruction, teacher development, and compliance. This individual provides ongoing coaching, mentoring, classroom support, and professional development to teachers while helping ensure every classroom delivers an engaging, safe, and nurturing learning environment. ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Leadership Ensure consistent implementation of the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum across all classrooms. Coach teachers on lesson planning, classroom management, instructional strategies, and child engagement. Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive coaching and feedback. Monitor lesson plans for quality, alignment, and completion. Support teachers in creating engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Assist teachers with classroom organization and learning environment enhancements. Teacher Development Mentor and train new teachers during onboarding. Provide ongoing coaching to improve instructional effectiveness. Facilitate professional development and in-service training sessions. Model best teaching practices and classroom management techniques. Support teacher evaluations and professional growth plans. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork. Classroom Quality & Compliance Maintain high standards for classroom appearance and organization. Ensure classrooms comply with Primrose standards and Texas Child Care Licensing regulations. Conduct quality assurance classroom walkthroughs. Support accreditation initiatives and quality improvement efforts. Ensure curriculum materials and classroom supplies are organized and available. Leadership & Operations Partner with the Director and leadership team on daily school operations. Assist with classroom coverage as needed. Help maintain staff schedules and classroom ratios. Support family communication regarding curriculum and child development. Participate in leadership meetings and school events. Build positive relationships with families and staff. Family Engagement Communicate with families regarding curriculum and classroom learning. Support family events and educational activities. Partner with teachers to ensure excellent customer service. QualificationsRequired Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3 years of preschool teaching experience . Minimum of 2 years of leadership, coaching, or curriculum experience in an early childhood setting. Strong knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong leadership and coaching abilities. Proficient with Microsoft Office and technology. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Director Certification or Child Care Administrator Credential. Experience with Cognia Accreditation or other accreditation systems. Experience using Primrose curriculum (preferred but not required). Knowledge of Texas Child Care Licensing regulations. CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
