Case Management & Compliance:

Lead the IEP process from evaluation to implementation. You'll manage student records with precision, ensuring all services align with state/federal laws and district policies.

Instructional Leadership:

Provide direct, research-based instruction (academic and SEL) in 1:1 or group settings. You'll model differentiated instruction and modify classroom materials to ensure every student can access the curriculum.

Expert Assessment:

Administer and interpret a variety of evaluations—from standardized tests to behavioral observations—to track progress and determine eligibility.

Team Collaboration:

Partner with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to create a unified support system. You will also direct the daily work of paraeducators to maximize student impact.

Behavioral Support:

Develop and monitor proactive behavior management and crisis intervention plans that prioritize a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.

Community & Advocacy:

Serve as a champion for your students within the school and broader community, participating in district committees and school events to drive program excellence.

The ideal candidate will:

Hold or be eligible for a Vermont Educator License with an appropriate Special Education endorsement. Demonstrate a strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education. Create a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment tailored to students' individual learning styles. Utilize data-driven decision-making to inform instruction and program development.
