Position Overview The Performing Arts / Music Teacher is responsible for developing students' musical and artistic abilities through engaging instruction in vocal and/or instrumental music and performance. This role fosters creativity, confidence, and collaboration while guiding students in developing foundational skills, preparing for performances, and expressing themselves through the arts. The teacher creates a positive and structured learning environment that supports both artistic growth and character development. Qualifications  Valid California Teaching Credential or currently completing a teacher credentialing program  Bachelor's degree (required); Master's degree (preferred)  Strong classroom management and communication skills  Commitment to integrating biblical principles into curriculum and instruction  Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and administrators in a Christ- centered environment  Demonstrates a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with the school's Statement of Faith Responsibilities  Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and biblical values  Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes spiritual, academic, and emotional growth  Integrate biblical truth naturally into daily instruction and classroom culture  Assess and monitor student learning and progress using a variety of methods; adjust instruction as needed to meet diverse learning needs  Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities  Maintain accurate and timely records of grades, attendance, and assessments  Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development, and school functions  Supervise students during class, recess, lunch, chapel, and school-related activities as assigned  Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan interdisciplinary lessons, events, and school-wide initiatives  Support and participate in chapel services, prayer times, and spiritual growth opportunities within the school community  Model Christ-like character, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions with students, parents, and staff  Uphold and promote the mission, vision, and values of Cornerstone Christian School in all areas of work Application Requirements Please submit the following:  Resume  One (1) Letter of Recommendation  Statement of Faith describing your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and how your faith influences your teaching  (Optional) Copy of credentials or verification of enrollment in a credential program How to Apply Submit your application to the following email:
