About Dehner Elite Arts:
Dehner Elite Arts is a high-standard performing arts studio focused on strong technique, discipline, and confidence-building in a structured and positive environment. We are committed to excellence in both training and professionalism.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled, dependable, and professional Acro & Aerial Acro Instructor who is confident in leading structured classes, maintaining safety at all times, and progressing students in a measurable way. This role requires someone who can both manage a classroom effectively and produce real technical growth in students.
Core Responsibilities:
Teach Acro and Aerial Acro classes for various ages and levels Plan and execute progressive, scaffolded lessons that meet students at their level and advance them safely Group students appropriately by ability and push them toward new skills in a safe, controlled manner Maintain strict safety standards and boundaries at all times (spotting, equipment use, skill readiness) Create a structured, focused classroom environment with strong behavior expectations Actively correct technique and ensure proper execution of skills Track student progress and help students achieve and "clean" new skills consistently Choreograph and prepare routines for recitals, competitions, and performances Attend all required studio events (rehearsals, competitions, showcases, etc.) Safety & Instruction Expectations (Non-Negotiable): Strong knowledge of skill progressions and proper scaffolding techniques Ability to safely spot acro and aerial skills Enforces clear safety boundaries and classroom rules Understands how to differentiate instruction for all ability levels Prioritizes injury prevention and proper technique over rushing skills Confident in managing multiple skill levels within one class
Leadership & Classroom Management:
Maintains full control of the classroom at all times Keeps students engaged, focused, and actively learning Builds confidence while still holding students to high standards Motivates students to push past comfort zones safely Demonstrates clear authority while remaining positive and encouraging
Professional Expectations:
Consistently on time, prepared, and reliable Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor Communicates clearly with staff, students, and leadership Ability to open and close the studio independently Trusted to manage responsibilities without supervision Fully committed to scheduled classes, events, and team expectations
Qualifications:
Background in acro, gymnastics, tumbling, and/or aerial arts (required) Prior teaching experience with children (strongly preferred) Knowledge of flexibility, conditioning, and skill progression Strong spotting ability and safety awareness Passion for working with children and developing their skills

Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
