Summer Musical Theater Staff Description:
support Somerville Arts Council's successful Musical Program! July 1-2720-15 hours/week Now in its 12th year, the Summer Musical Program brings together children ages 8-13 to create a fully produced Junior musical in 3.5 weeks. Facilitated by a team of creative professionals, this program has continued to grow in enrollment. We are seeking 2 additional paid staffers to assist in creating an awesome summer for our students. Ideal skills include classroom or large group management, experience with students in the age group, flexibility, and problem solving. This program is based in Somerville MA and includes 2-3 public performances at the end of the session.
Qualifications:
Experience with children in either a camp and/or classroom setting ( age range 8-13). Theater experience--knowledge of dance, music, acting, theater skills (scenic, costumes, etc), theater games or other enrichment activities are a huge plus.
