commensurate with expereince Position Summary •This is an onsite, in-person position located in the St. Louis, Missouri area. Candidates should apply only if they are able to be physically present and available to work onsite by the start date•Adjunct Faculty - Theatre for Fall 2026. This position is responsible for the direction of a theatrical production, selected by the Theatre Area Committee. Primary Duties Performed Plans and schedules production meetings. Scheduling and hosting auditions at STLCC Florissant Valley. Casting the production. If you would like the staff to appoint a stage manager please be prepared to take time to teach them your expectations of the position, before auditions, and continue to work with them during the rehearsal process. Scheduling and conducting all cast rehearsals. Present during paper tech, technical rehearsals and dress rehearsals. Administers established policies, procedures and protocol pertinent to the theater. May be responsible for art displays, production photography and archives. Performs other job related duties as assigned. Qualifications/Experience The necessary skills and abilities would normally be acquired through completion of a Master's degree or BFA in theatre and five or more years of experience as a theater director in a higher educational setting. Working Conditions Rehearsals and productions mainly take place on evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
Negligible to moderate physical activity, which may include standing for extended periods, light lifting of instructional materials, and use of standard classroom or computer equipment.
