Bachelor's degree in English, Creative Writing, Education, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or working with youth Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to engage and motivate young writers with varying skill levels
Preferred:
Minimum of 3 years of experience Required License or Certification N/A Position Overview Primary Purpose of Position Plan and deliver engaging writing lessons tailored to the age and skill level of campers Introduce a variety of writing styles, including creative, narrative, descriptive, and persuasive writing Facilitate writing workshops, group discussions, and peer feedback sessions Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and effective communication Provide constructive feedback to support campers' writing development Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment Supervise campers during instructional activities and transitions Collaborate with camp leadership and staff to support daily programming Follow all camp policies and university safety guidelines, including youth protection standards Primary Function of Organizational Unit Focused on the needs of a variety of traditional and non-traditional learners, the Extended Campus unit proactively engages the

community and external collaborators to actuate a bold, transformative education strategy to create online, professional, and lifelong learning opportunities, helping ensure A&T's preeminence within a changing higher education landscape.
