Reports To:
Camp Director Job Summary We are looking for an energetic, creative drama teacher to lead our theater department. You will help campers find their voices by teaching acting, movement, and performance skills to children of varying skill levels.
Key Responsibilities Curriculum & Instruction:
Develop and teach engaging theater classes, games, and improv workshops suitable for various age groups.
Production & Performance:
Plan, rehearse, and direct end-of-session performances or showcases.
Mentorship:
Foster a supportive, inclusive, and encouraging environment where campers build confidence.
Safety & Supervision:
Maintain safe classroom environments, ensuring proper use of props, costumes, and stages.
Collaboration:
Work with other staff members (music instructors, counselors) to integrate theater with other camp programs. Qualifications Experience in theater education or working with children in a professional setting. Experience in acting, musical theater, directing, or technical theater. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to pass a background check. BA/BFA in Theatre or Education preferred but not required.
Pay:
$5,900.00 per year
