GED Driver's License First Aid Certification Full Job Description Job Summary Responsibilities:

Responsible for documenting progress notes for youth, attend CFT's, attend company events, driving the company vehicle, cleaning the facility etc. Being a Mentor is not the same for everyone. Each relationship is different because each person is unique. The program utilizes adults as positive role models for youth. This position may carry a small caseload to be determined and will work individually or in a small group setting. Roles of a Mentor Maintain open communication and encourage expression of thoughts, feelings and attitudes. Empathize and understand another person's struggles, rather than show pity or pass judgment. Support growth and skill development in interest areas. Encourage positive peer relationships. Encourage community involvement Help a youth explore new experiences, choices, values and future goals. Help identify resources when help is needed. Participate in agency group activities or special events. Be aware of mandatory reporting laws in the event of abuse by an adult.

Education & Training:

The applicant has to be at least 21 years of age or older. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum Requirements:

HS Diploma/GED and at least one (1) year of relevant work experience•OR•any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Applicants must have a valid Arizona driver's licensed and be able to pass criminal background and child abuse clearances. Each applicant must be First Aid and CPR Certified and be able to obtain a finger print clearance card.
