Activity Coordinator / Music Instructor / Bus Driver (Class B) Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and versatile Activity Coordinator / Music Instructor / Bus Driver (Class B with Passenger Endorsement) to join our team. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for organizing engaging activities for seniors, providing instruction in ukulele, guitar, drums, or other musical programs, and safely transporting participants between their homes and our Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) facility. Responsibilities Safely operate passenger buses with a valid Class B driver's license and Passenger Endorsement while complying with all traffic laws and safety regulations. Transport participants to and from their homes and the facility in a safe, courteous, and timely manner. Plan, coordinate, and facilitate engaging recreational, educational, and wellness activities tailored to senior participants. Provide instruction in ukulele, guitar, drums, singing, or other music and cultural enrichment programs. Lead stretching exercises, light fitness activities, and group participation programs as appropriate. Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment during activities and transportation services. Communicate effectively with participants, caregivers, family members, and team members. Assist participants with boarding, exiting, and safely utilizing transportation services. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic mechanical checks to ensure safe operation of buses and equipment. Complete required reports, transportation logs, activity documentation, and incident reports accurately and timely. Provide compassionate supervision and support to seniors during activities and transportation. Qualifications Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement, or willingness to obtain one within 45 days of employment with employer support. Clean driving record and commitment to transportation safety. Experience driving passenger buses, paratransit vehicles, shuttle buses, or similar vehicles preferred. Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, community programs, adult day care, senior centers, schools, churches, or recreational programs preferred. Ability to teach or lead music programs using ukulele, guitar, drums, singing, or other instruments. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage group activities and encourage participant engagement. Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle inspection and minor troubleshooting. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Preferred Skills Bilingual in English and Tagalog, Korean, Spanish, or other languages commonly spoken in the community. Experience conducting sing-along programs, exercise classes, arts and crafts, or therapeutic recreation activities. Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude. Computer and documentation skills for reports and activity records.
