In this community based role, you will support individuals with developmental disabilities and autism as they build confidence and independence in their everyday lives. You'll provide guidance through individualized life skills training while helping create a positive, encouraging environment that supports personal growth and development. Responsibilities Implement training plans tailored to the specific needs of each client. Provide direct support and encouragement to clients in a variety of settings, including community and educational environments. Facilitate social skills training to enhance interpersonal communication and relationship-building abilities. Monitor client progress and adjust training methods as needed to ensure effective learning outcomes. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to create a comprehensive support network for clients. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, incidents, and relevant observations. Be physically active throughout the day to support client needs, including bending and lifting mobility equipment. Qualifications Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is helpful but not required. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members. A passion for helping others achieve their potential through patience, empathy, and understanding. Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a safe vehicle for daily client transportation (mileage reimbursed). Must be responsible, reliable, and trustworthy. Additional Information No experience needed, paid training provided .
Shifts:
