Job purpose The Senior Instructor works with the Lead Instructor(s) and/or Center Manager to provide superior instruction, review instructor in-car videos, train new instructors, support car and camera maintenance needs, build instructor camaraderie and maintain the professionalism of the Center. Job details This is an hourly position with the candidate's choice of weekly hours between 30 to 40 hours per week. This position is considered full-time for health benefits eligibility. The starting pay range for this position will be $24-$25 hourly depending on DriveSafe experience. This position has room for growth and advancement. Senior Instructors with good performance after 1-2 annual performance review cycles may be eligible for promotion to Lead Instructor, which is a salaried position eligible for additional pay, bonuses and other benefits. Responsibilities Ongoing BTW, Drive Testing, DSD Field Management and/or Classroom Instruction, if qualified for Classroom (80% Direct Contact Time) Check upcoming drive schedules one to two weeks out to identify potential car or instructor issues Develop expertise in camera management and video downloading. Support needs to keep all cameras in working order and video downloaded properly. Review BTW Instructor videos to identify strengths and improvement areas Identify and work with team to make sure all car maintenance and safety issues are handled Train new instructors as needed to ensure high quality BTW service delivery Help with new Instructor walk-throughs and auditions as requested Check instructor paperwork at the end of the day to identify issues Work with instructors on DRIVES and paperwork issues proactively Work with Lead and/or Center Manager to improve systems for the Center and instructors Encourage a team environment by working closely with instructors. Assist with team meetings Promote the company to nearby schools or handle yard signage or flyering as requested. Support Center needs to keep the center organized and neat. Be flexible to help with Center emergencies or instructor issues. Other duties and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications Threshold DriveSafe experience:
1 year or 500 drives/1000 student contact hours State Certified Drive Tester 30 hours plus per week work schedule DSD Field Manager or Classroom Instructor Trained Demonstrated high level BTW instructional skills Solid computer skills with knowledge of Google Maps Good communication skills Responsible, dependable, and detail oriented Self-disciplined and able to multi-task Must have a clean
