Grade Classroom Assistant:

Experience working with Upper Elementary students.

Hours:

Part time: School Year 12:00pm•5:00pm•

Mon-Fri Full Time:

Non-School Days & 9 weeks of

Summer Camp:

8:00am•5:00pm

Mon-Fri Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma 2. 40 hours Training•(within 6 months of hire) a) School Age Program Certification (within 6 months of hire) 3. Must pass criminal background check 4. Have a valid Florida driver license

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist Classroom Teacher in management of classroom. Helping teacher(s) create lesson plans Provide homework assistance. Supervise children at all times. When children are at the center do not work on other activities or be on you phone Keep children engaged at all times. If a student does not have homework they are to work on preplanned and printed classroom packets Maintain discipline without yelling Monitor children at all times while on field trips Transport children to and from destinations safely. (if required) Monitor children at all times during outdoor activities. Assist in maintaining classroom supplies and equipment Help during parent meetings, and special events as may be necessary. Assisting in another classroom as needed to maintain staffing ratio Attend all required meetings and trainings Making sure classrooms are safe and neat at all times All other duties as assigned, including but not limited to putting down chairs and setting out snack. Able to lift up to 25lbs and climb steps as may be necessary
