Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced CDL Truck Driving Instructor to inspire and educate aspiring commercial drivers. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive training on the fundamentals of truck driving, including safety protocols, vehicle operation, and industry regulations. Your enthusiasm and expertise will empower students to become confident, responsible drivers ready to excel in the transportation industry. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of professional truck drivers while promoting safe and efficient driving practices. Duties Deliver engaging instruction on topics such as air brake systems, tanker operations, and tractor-trailer handling Conduct practical driving lessons in trucks equipped for commercial driving training, ensuring adherence to safety standards Evaluate student performance through assessments and demonstrations Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their driving skills and understanding of industry regulations Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and training hours Ensure all training activities comply with federal and state commercial driving regulations Stay current with industry best practices, licensing requirements, and safety standards to continuously enhance instructional quality Skills Extensive knowledge of commercial driving operations, including tractor-trailer handling and safety procedures Certification or experience with air brake systems Strong teaching skills with the ability to engage adult learners effectively Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL license (Class A preferred) Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and professionally Minimum 2 years of commercial experience required
Hours:
Typically 8am to 4pm M-Th and 8am to 2pm Friday. Hours vary based on number of enrollments in class and if its is class A or class B course.
