Schedule:
Monday•Friday, typically 8:30 AM•3:45 PM (No weekends)
Season Duration:
June 14•August 1 (7-Week Season)
Payment Terms:
Paid in full on the Monday of the following work week Position Overview Northeast Anglers is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and high-energy Summer Fishing Camp Coach / Youth Educator to lead our outdoor fishing programs for the upcoming season. If you have a massive love for the outdoors, a passion for fishing, and a strong desire to see kids succeed and fall in love with the sport, this is the perfect summer role for you. We proudly welcome both seasoned outdoor leaders and educators new to the profession who want to gain valuable, hands-on instructional experience in a dynamic outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities Instruction & Mentorship:
Teach basic and intermediate fishing techniques, knot-tying, and environmental stewardship to youth campers.
Camper Safety & Supervision:
Maintain strict, watchful oversight of children near water bodies, ensuring safe hook-handling, casting, and fish handling.
Camp Logistics:
Be exceptionally reliable for morning camper check-in and afternoon check-out, ensuring a seamless, professional experience for families.
Transportation:
Safely operate a company passenger van to transport campers and gear to and from designated fishing spots.
Qualifications & Requirements The Right Attitude:
A genuine love for the outdoors, a deep appreciation for fishing, and a desire to see youth build confidence and succeed.
Certifications:
Must possess a current SafeSport Training Certificate.
CPR/First Aid:
Must be willing to be certified (Northeast Anglers will cover the training cost entirely).
Background & Driving:
Must pass all comprehensive background checks (CORI/SORI). Must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and comfort driving a passenger transit van.
Reliability:
Punctuality is non-negotiable, particularly for daily camper check-in and check-out windows.
Compensation & Perks Hourly Rate:
$25.00/hour (Paid weekly on the following Monday).
Performance Bonuses:
Additional financial bonuses are available based on reliability, exceptional performance, and overall program success.
Professional Growth:
Paid CPR certification training and mentorship for newer educators looking to build their teaching and outdoor leadership portfolios.
