Adjunct Faculty are responsive to their students and support their success through timely communication, feedback, and assessment of student learning. Advanced Fire Training Adjunct Faculty provide both classroom and/or drill ground instruction. Job Responsibilities Teach industrial health, safety, and compliance subject matter and/or advanced fire training subject matter as assigned by the department, including but not limited to: Confined Space Hazardous Materials Flashover/live fire training Technical Rescue Industrial Safety Personal Protective Equipment Fall Protection Hazard Identification Fire Prevention/investigation Lockout/Tagout First Aid/CPR Maintain course materials in the College's Learning Management System (LMS), including, but not limited to, announcement, syllabus, and gradebook. Keep gradebook up to date and submit final grades by published deadlines. Participate and actively cooperate with the department and Learning Unit to meet accreditation standards. Assist in facilitating student clinical and or lab experiences as assigned. Participate in course assessments that will accurately measure achievement of student learning outcomes as assigned. Complete training for various instructional delivery modalities as required. Maintain faculty credentials as required by the College's accrediting agencies. Attend Faculty Development Days and/or Institutional Development Days as schedule permits. Participate in Learning Unit committees as schedule permits. Ensure the maintenance of equipment and vehicles is completed. Inventory and report training equipment and materials needed. Provide individual and group skill development plans. Ensures lab security and proper safety standards are met. Other duties as assigned in compliance with the AAFMCC collective bargaining agreement. Education Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution
