2026-2027 SY The Natchez-Adams School District is seeking a qualified and motivated AFJROTC Instructor to join our instructional team. The successful candidate will support the mission of AFJROTC by fostering citizenship, service, leadership development, and academic excellence in students.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of school administration and in coordination with the U.S. Air Force Junior ROTC Program Office, the AFJROTC Instructor will deliver curriculum, supervise cadet activities, and ensure compliance with all applicable Air Force and district standards. The district will request an AFJROTC License from the Mississippi Department of Education for the instructor. SALARY Compensation is based on Air Force Minimum Instructor Pay and district guidelines.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
 Must meet U.S. Air Force JROTC instructor certification requirements  Retired honorably from the U.S. Air Force (Officer E-7 or above)  Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, staff, and community members  Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills  Prior teaching experience  Experience advising youth leadership or extracurricular programs  Experience organizing events, competitions, or community service initiatives
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
 Teach AFJROTC curriculum as prescribed by AFJROTC Headquarters  Coordinate and supervise activities, including drill, competitions, color guard, leadership events, and community service  Maintain accurate student records, equipment inventory, and unit accountability  Recruit and mentor cadets while fostering academic, behavioral, and leadership excellence  Engage with the school and broader community to promote the AFJROTC program

Please include each reference's name, title, organization, email address, and phone number  A copy of your DD-214 showing honorable or eligible discharge status  Proof of AFJROTC instructor eligibility, such as Air Force JROTC instructor certification or confirmation of eligibility from
