At 160 Driving Academy, we are hiring a Lead CDL A Instructor to mentor instructors, oversee training, and support student success. With 90 locations across 32 states, we offer career stability and leadership opportunities within our network of schools. Responsibilities Mentor and support instructors to ensure effective training. Oversee student training, including pre-trip, yard, and road instruction. Promote safety and professionalism in all aspects of training. Monitor student progress and assist instructors with CDL exam preparation. Track training effectiveness and provide feedback. Maintain proper documentation, including evaluations and records. Requirements:

Must reside in the state you are applying for or have a residence secured for relocation Valid CDL Class A license with a minimum of 24 months of verified tractor-trailer driving experience. Safe driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening. Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills. Basic computer skills for tracking and scheduling. Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) Leadership experience. Experience mentoring or training instructors and students. Driver Training Instructor certification (if required by the state, we assist with certification). Knowledge of FMCSA and CDL training standards. Ability to adapt instruction to different learning styles.
