Job Title Adjunct Fire & Rescue Instructor - WDCE Wilkes
Job Description The Adjunct Instructor Candidate will be responsible for proper instruction of the material to be presented. The Instructor Candidate will be responsible for monitoring the classroom and offsite locations of didactic delivery to the students. The Instructor Candidate will ensure proper behavior of all students to ensure an adequate learning environment. The Instructor Candidate will instruct in a safe manner and not allow unnecessary dangerous or unsafe activity.
Full Time or Part Time Part Time
Essential Duties Summary The Instructor Candidate Must be in a physical condition to perform the duties of the required instruction and skill set.
Required Qualifications Instructor Candidate must have a current CPR certification through American Heart.
Preferred Qualifications It is preferred but not required for non-certification classes, that the Instructor Candidate be a Qualified Instructor by the Standards set forth by the NC Office of the State Fire Marshall (NC OSFM). For all Qualification classes, The Instructor Candidate MUST meet the outlined requirements from the NC OSFM.
NCOEMS instructor, American Heart Instructor or be working towards obtaining instructor certification from one of the above agencies.
Physical Demands Instructor Candidate must be able to stand for extended periods of time, varied sitting, standing, walking, climbing and lifting of related supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds.
