The Pumpkin Patch Child Care Center has been caring for the children of our community since the early 90s. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, nurturing environment where children learn important academic, social and cognitive skills that will help them succeed. We strive to create an environment that offers the comfort of home while introducing the structure of school. We want our kids to be excited about learning while feeling loved and supported. As an Aftercare Lead Teacher you will: Accompany the bus driver to pick children up from local public schools. Help school-age children complete homework daily. Provide age-appropriate activities for the children in your care following completion of homework. Maintain organization and cleanliness of your classroom. We are looking for experienced, motivated individuals to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years experience in the child care field with at least 2 professional references as well as a high school diploma. However, we are willing to train the right individual. Candidates should be reliable and pride themselves on their work ethic. The ideal candidate should be able to handle a fast paced environment where multiple tasks need to be completed simultaneously. The ideal candidate should have reliable transportation to get to and from the center. Candidates should be willing to complete yearly training hours required by the state. Candidates should be able to roll with the unexpected. After all, with children you can always expect the unexpected! The ideal candidate should have a positive disposition, be easy to get along with and be a team player. Candidates should understand that this is not simply babysitting. Working in childcare is rewarding but hard work.
