The Location Technology Trainer and payroll is responsible for training School Bus Drivers according to APS's established guidelines and legal requirements in the areas of GPS (Zonar), Camera Systems (AngelTrax), VersaTrans, FleetVision, Payroll data entry (Empower), and Tyler Suite products. To provide on-going training for all Driver and location employees. To assist management in administration of the location's technology based programs and procedures. Maintain the highest level of ethical behavior with our customers, fellow employees and community we serve.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation: Instructing selected individuals through the successful completion of training and testing to the level of State Certified School Bus Driver; training School Bus Drivers according to district guidelines and legal requirements Conducting and documenting required behind-the-wheel training for School Bus Drivers Providing training for drivers and staff in the areas of technology-based district products. Conducting and documenting semi-annual behind-the-wheel School Bus Driver evaluations. Coordinating with the Safety and Training Supervisor to notify Drivers of upcoming licenses and/or certificate expiration dates Performing Driver/Staff Training on District school bus technologies (GPS, Cameras, Routing, Maintenance and Payroll) Assisting management in the administration of the location's technology programs, including monthly Safety Meetings and the Accident Review Committees. Documenting and maintaining all training records as required by State and Federal regulations and District policies. Responding to customer and Driver inquiries in a timely manner with the highest degree of courtesy and accuracy. Enter payroll data on a daily basis. Performing daily audits and entering corrections. Transmits payroll on a bi-weekly basis. Regularly produces reports for management review. Entering information into various computer systems/applications. May interact with the maintenance personnel to input repair orders, parts and labor information and track daily fuel logs. Maintaining security of all files and records systems. Process fingerprinting and background checks for new employees. Encouraging compliance with district policies and procedures; discussing any breach of policy or procedure noted with Location Supervisor. Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner. Fill in as Cover Driver when needed. Fill in as Dispatcher when needed. Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE

Proficient in the use of computers, Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook; and Transportation applications (Zonar, AngelTrax, Versa Trans, Fleet Vision, Empower) or other GPS, camera, routing and maintenance software. Ability to maintain accuracy and speed in data entry Strong working knowledge of basic office equipment Excellent interpersonal skills with well-developed written and verbal communication skills General math skills with strong attention to detail New Mexico State PED School Bus Driver Instructor certificate preferred. Appropriate vehicle class license, current medical and school bus driver's certificate Ability to work in a consistently fast-paced environment Well-developed multi-tasking skills and time / priority management skills Bilingual preferred.

REQUIREMENTS

High school Diploma or equivalent required; some college education preferred. 3 or more years of experience with computerized payroll and billing systems. Current Commercial Driver's License with Air Brake, Passenger, and School Bus Endorsement or must obtain within 3 months of hire Knowledge of mapping and routing with knowledge of routing and local area /streets
