In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, including children, seniors, and individuals with special needs, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience every time. Whether you're experienced in bus driving or eager to develop your skills in commercial driving and childcare, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a supportive environment. Duties Safely operate buses, vans, or specialized vehicles for various passenger services, including school transportation, paratransit, and senior care. Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, seating arrangements, and disembarking. Communicate clearly with passengers and team members using effective English or multilingual skills to ensure smooth operations. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine mechanical checks to ensure safety and reliability. Follow all traffic laws and company policies related to driving, behavior management, and safety protocols. Assist children with childcare needs or individuals requiring special assistance, ensuring their comfort and security throughout the journey. Keep accurate records of trips, passenger counts, and any incidents or maintenance issues for reporting purposes. Qualifications Valid driver's license with relevant endorsements such as bus driving or commercial driving certification. Proven experience in bus driving, school bus driving, or paratransit services preferred. Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues. Experience working with children or seniors demonstrates your ability to handle sensitive situations with care. Excellent behavior management skills to maintain a safe environment onboard the vehicle. Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, or weekends as needed.
