Driving Instructor/Online Instructor

Instructor Job Description

• Reports to Operations Manager.
• Provides online instruction to customers through Zoom and Google Platforms.
• Provides in-person instruction in the classroom.
• The bolded items above are the primary responsibilities for this role currently.
• Provides one-on-one, in-car instruction to teen and adult drivers.
• Maintains familiarity with industry best practices and policy updates.
• Manages own schedule.
• Administers DOL Knowledge and Skills Exams.
• Maintains driving records per customer and files appropriately.
• Cleans common areas as assigned by Operations/Office Manager. Instructor Required Qualifications
• Passion to contribute to the company's goal of making our roads safer through training, education and testing.
• Must be able and enthusiastic to teach online to classes from 10 up to 130 people.
• Efficiency and effectiveness are a must. If you have online teaching experience specifically, please tell us. If you have a great personality and can deliver powerpoint content in an engaging and fun way, this is the job for you.
• Valid WA State Driver License with five years valid driving experience & clean record.
• Friendly, enthusiastic and a team-player.
• Infinite patience; especially with customers with a language/cultural barrier.
• Heavily focused on details and time management.
• Must possess top-tier communication, customer service and organizational skills.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience.
• Must possess reliable transportation.
• Must possess HS diploma/GED.
• Ability to hold DOL certifications. Instructor Preferred Qualifications
• Multiple language fluency/familiarity a huge plus. Especially Arabic, Spanish & Mandarin.
• Open availability
• including weekends.
• Verifiable First Responder (LEO, EMS, Fire, and/or Military) experience.
• Experience giving instruction.
• Medical Training.
• Mechanical Aptitude. Instructor Compensation
