We deliver NCCER‑aligned training that opens doors to apprenticeships, entry‑level employment, and long‑term career pathways. If you're passionate about teaching, mentorship, and helping people transform their lives, this role is a great fit. Position Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable, engaging NCCER Core Instructor to teach part‑time for a 6-8 month training cycle . This role is ideal for a trades professional who enjoys teaching, wants flexible hours, and is excited to support new learners entering the construction workforce. You'll lead small cohorts through the NCCER Core Curriculum, ensuring students gain the foundational skills, safety knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed in the field. Key Responsibilities Teach NCCER Core's 10 modules following standardized curriculum and training objectives Deliver hands‑on demonstrations, safety instruction, and skills practice Support learners with varying experience levels, providing coaching and encouragement Maintain accurate attendance, assessments, and training documentation Prepare students for NCCER written and performance evaluations Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional learning environment Collaborate with DWA staff to ensure program quality and student success Qualifications NCCER Certified Instructor (or ability to obtain certification prior to start) Minimum of 4 years journey‑level or technician‑level experience in construction OR 3+ years of experience as a certified vocational/technical instructor Strong communication and classroom‑management skills Ability to teach evenings or weekends (flexible scheduling available) Passion for workforce development and helping adults succeed Preferred Experience Prior teaching, coaching, or training experience Experience working with diverse or underserved communitiesOSHA 10/30
