Generally Monday-Thursday:
8:00 AM to 6:00PM Friday:
8:00 AM to 12:00 PM Nights and weekends as needed. Trainer schedules will vary and may be include teaching evening, weekend, online, hybrid, and/or dual enrollment courses at various campuses. This is an on-site position. Essential duties of the role must be performed in-person, during prescribed work hours. The CDL Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality classroom and hands-on instruction for students pursuing a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). This position ensures that students acquire the knowledge, technical skills, and safety competencies required for licensure and employment in the transportation industry. Qualifications (Required and Preferred) Valid CDL (Class A) Minimum of three (3) years of professional driving experience Ability to meet all state requirements for CDL instructors Preferred Qualifications Prior teaching or training experience Experience working with adult learners CDL Examiner Job Duties and Responsibilities Instruction & Training Delivery Deliver classroom and behind-the-wheel CDL instruction in accordance with state and federal regulations. Prepare students for CDL licensure examinations. Ensure safe operation and proper use of training equipment and vehicles. Maintain training schedules and instructional materials. Student Support & Success Provide individualized instruction and coaching to support student success. Monitor student progress and provide feedback and remediation as needed. Support student retention and completion efforts. Reinforce workplace expectations and professionalism. Program Collaboration Collaborate with program leadership and employer partners to align training with workforce needs. Participate in curriculum updates and program improvements. Support recruitment and outreach activities as needed. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and institutional policies. Maintain accurate student records and training documentation.Social Constructs Required of Position :

Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Student pass rates on CDL licensure exams. Student completion rates. Compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Working Conditions Work is performed in classroom and outdoor training environments. Exposure to weather conditions during driving instruction. Physical Requirements Ability to operate commercial vehicles. Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical demonstrations.WORK SCHEDULE
