Duties Deliver comprehensive classroom instruction on traffic laws, safety procedures, and vehicle operation specific to commercial driving. Conduct hands-on training sessions in real-world driving environments, emphasizing skills such as air brake operation, tanker handling, and tractor-trailer maneuvering. Evaluate student performance through practical tests and provide constructive feedback to foster improvement. Prepare and maintain training materials, lesson plans, and assessment records to ensure consistent quality of instruction. Ensure all training activities comply with federal and state regulations governing commercial driver's license (CDL) standards. Assist students in preparing for their CDL exams by guiding them through written tests and practical driving assessments. Promote a positive learning environment that encourages safety, professionalism, and continuous skill development. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, with specific expertise in tractor-trailer operations and tanker trucks. Valid CDL license with endorsements such as air brake and tanker certifications. Strong classroom teaching skills with a background in adult education or instructional roles. Ability to communicate complex driving concepts clearly and effectively to diverse learners. Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to commercial driver licensing and safety standards. Demonstrated ability to evaluate performance objectively and provide motivating feedback. Excellent organizational skills for maintaining training records and compliance documentation.
