Job Summary The Economics Adjunct Faculty member at South Mountain Community College is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction that supports student learning and success. This position teaches economics courses in multiple modalities, including in-person, hybrid, and online formats, as assigned. Adjunct faculty develop and deliver course content, assess student learning, and maintain accurate instructional records. They are expected to create an inclusive learning environment that supports a diverse student population and to follow established course outcomes and departmental guidelines. Minimum Qualifications The Academic Teaching Fields require the following from an accredited college or university: Master's degree or higher in the teaching field OR Master's degree or higher in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching field The following disciplines meet the requirements to teach in this field: Economics, any specialization Course Subjects
ECON, ECN, EC
Desired Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience in a university, college, or community college setting, including instruction in in-person, hybrid, and asynchronous online modalities Experience using a Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas)
