Human Motor Performance (KINES 524) is offered in the Graduate Kinesiology Program. will examine the processes that govern movement skill acquisition and control in order to provide students with a foundation for the development of effective instructional strategies that facilitate learning, performance and control of motor skills. This course will be taught in person on the Moraga campus during the 2026 Fall term on Mondays from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. In addition to teaching, the instructor is expected to hold regular office hours (a minimum of one hour per week) in order to provide students with support outside of the classroom. The successful candidate will hold a terminal degree in Kinesiology or a closely related field and have a recent publication record in the field, or a Master's degree in Kinesiology or a closely related field and have at least five years of current, relevant professional experience. Demonstrated teaching effectiveness at the graduate level as evidenced by recent course evaluations is strongly preferred. Candidates should be comfortable supporting and working in a multi-cultural environment. Preference will be given to those who have taught the course orKINES 324/KINES 624.
Candidates must reside in California. The salary range for this position is $7,447 - 10,308 (3 units) and is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
