Competitive Salary Employee Referral Bonus Employee Discounts at Local Restaurants and Venues We are currently looking for an Adjunct Professor in Professional Health Education at the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. The Adjunct Professor will be responsible for participating and teaching in professional courses in their area of expertise according to program need. This is a non-tenure position.
Responsibilities of the position include:
Teach in a Professional Health Program (PharmD, PA, PharmTech) according to program needs. Collaborate with course directors regarding participation required in labs and small group classes Support attainment of the College and Program's Mission and goals as outlined in the University, College, and Program's Strategic Plans. Provide tutorial and academic advisement for students, developing and providing remediation strategies and training as needed. Participate in the accreditation process as needed. Participate in formative and summative program evaluation as needed. Maintain university requirements for employment. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum of a terminal degree from an accredited professional health program; other comparable medical/medical education professional degrees will be considered (e.g. MD, DO, PhD). Qualified through academic preparation or experience to teach assigned subjects. Must hold certification (NCCPA, BCPS, CPhT, etc.) if applicable. Licensed or eligible to be licensed in the Commonwealth of Kentucky if applicable. Preferred teaching experience in higher education. Excellent communication skills. Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to hear and speak well enough to communicate with students, faculty, and staff face to face and via the telephone.
