POSITION IS TEMPORARY AND WILL END ON JUNE 30, 2027
Prepare and analyze a wide variety of building/student data (e.g. accountability reports, student attendance and academic performance, Student Incident Report (SIR), parent involvement, audits, etc.) for the purpose of informing instructional strategies, influencing professional development decisions, and/or conveying information to stakeholders.
THIS POSITION IS A TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT WHICH WILL END JUNE 30, 2027 . THIS POSITION IS NOT PERMANENT. APPLICANTS SELECTED FOR THIS POSITION WILL NOT GAIN TENURE IN BIRMINGHAM CITY SCHOOLS. CURRENT EMPLOYEES SELECTED FOR THIS POSITION AGREE TO WAIVE ALL DUE PROCESS RIGHTS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in providing effective leadership in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating the instructional program. Assist in interpreting and implementing Plan 2020, Individualized Education Plan Plan essential federal and state laws/regulations, local board policies, school safety plans, and assessments that influence instructional outcomes. Assist the principal in personnel functions including, but not limited to: annual employee evaluations, observations/walkthroughs, staffing, planning professional development needs, and progressive discipline. Assist in preparing and administering the school budget, continuous improvement plan, and other fiscal responsibilities at the local school. Assist in ensuring that students receive appropriate placement and services. Plan and accomplish personal professional growth and demonstrates professional ethics. Demonstrate proficiency in written and oral communication. Assist in providing professional growth opportunities for the faculty and staff. Assist in communicating and clarifying the district's mission to students, staff, and community. Assist in providing a safe, orderly environment that facilitates teaching and learning. Facilitate communication between personnel, students and/or parents for the purpose of evaluating situations, solving problems and/or resolving conflicts. Assist in providing a climate of high expectations for the faculty, staff and students. Assist in supervising, observing, and evaluating teachers and staff. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective alignment of human capital with organizational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
A Master's Degree or higher with a major in Educational Administration/Leadership from an accredited college/university. Valid Alabama Professional Educator Certificate in the field of School Administration/Leadership. Minimum three (3) years successful teaching experience. •
