The Casa Grande Union High School District Principal will have the duty to foster a healthy learning environment for the students with the primary responsibility to supervise the education staff and oversee day-to-day school operations.QUALIFICATIONS
: Master's degree in education Valid Arizona administrator certificate Minimum of 3 years teaching experience Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Minimum of five (5) years in a leadership role Previous experience as a principal or in similar role Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish is a plusDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Oversee day-to-day school operations . Manage school logistics and budgets . Set learning goals for students and teachers based on national and research-based curricul um. Monitor and report on teacher performance . Present data from school performance to board members . Research new resources and techniques to improve teaching . Interview and hire school personnel . Provide guidance and counseling to teachers . Handle emergencies and school cris is. Organize school events and assemblies . Ensure a safe and clean environment for students ( e.g. implementing hygiene rules) . Attend conferences to gain knowledge on current educational trends . Set performance objectives for students and teachers . Implemen t and monitor school policies and safety protocols . Serve as an Instructional leader with knowledge Arizona State Standards, ACT College Readiness planning and implementation of a high performing high school. Has the ability to provide professional development- through classroom observations, team meetings, and teache r /staff leadership models.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervise employees. Responsibilities include decisions related to selection, performance appraisal, discipline and salary recommendations. Build strong and empowered teams by providing direction, delegation, counsel, mentoring and expertise to individual team leads, while retaining overall responsibility and accountability for results. Promote and encourage the development, training and promotion of staff members to assure the perpetuation of a professional and competent workforce.
