Any combination equivalent to:
graduation from high school and one year experience working with school-age children in an organization setting or learning environment. Incumbents must meet the requirements specified under the Every Student Succeed Act (ESSA). Completed at least two years of study at an institution or higher education OR obtained an associate's or higher degree (college level) OR met (pass) a rigorous standard of quality and can demonstrate, through a formal State or local academic assessment, knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing, and mathematics. 2. Assist in the planning and successful implementation of various after-school programs, recruiting, marketing, and enrolling and registering students in the program using registration software. Gather and maintain student data and attendance. 3. Plan and organize various extracurricular activities before/after school, actively participate and supervise the students work and play though out the day. Coordinate shared spaces with on-site community partners. 4. Collaborate with the site administration on program logistics, such as program locations. 5. Supervise snack preparations utilizing appropriate food handling procedures while coordinating with Nutrition Services staff. 6. Assist in the purchasing and organization of supplies and instructional materials. Inventory equipment and supplies and ensure they are available and in good repair. 7. Communicate positively with families and refer questions or concerns to the appropriate person. Project positive attitude about expanded learning programs in the community. 8. Fulfill other related duties as assigned. 9. Valid California Class C driver's license, CPR and First Aid.
