Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Athletic Director to lead athletic programs at Potter Junior High in Fallbrook and coordinate the teams from Fallbrook Elementary Schools to play in our Boys & Girls Clubs of North County's recreational sports leagues. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the development, management, and success of various athletic teams while promoting student engagement, sportsmanship, and excellence. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in program management, working with youth and parents and building community while also demonstrating a genuine commitment to working with students to cultivate a thriving athletic environment that aligns with our mission. Responsibilities Coordinate all aspects of sports programs at Potter Junior High School, including scheduling registration, practices, league games and tournaments. Coordinate elementary school teams' play in the Boys & Girls Club rec league. Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and supervision of coaching staff and athletic personnel. Coordinate scheduling of games, practices, and tournaments while managing facility use and maintenance. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and safety protocols related to student-athletes and staff. Promote student participation by fostering an inclusive environment that encourages teamwork, leadership, and personal growth. Manage budgets, procurement, and resource allocation for athletic activities and equipment. Collaborate with school and Boys & Girls Club staff to support student-athletes' academic success and well-being. Skills and Qualifications Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and build collaborative relationships Effective communication skills for engaging with students, staff, parents, and community partners. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with facility management, budgeting processes, and organizational planning. Bachelors degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Sports Management, Education or related field preferred. Minimum of three years of experience in youth sports, recreation athletics or program management. Must pass pre-employment drug testing and background screenings. CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain upon hire. Join us in shaping an inspiring athletic program that champions excellence both on and off the field!
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
