Behind every thriving school is someone who makes sure the day actually works. The teachers feel supported. The schedules make sense. The classrooms are covered. The families feel heard. The culture stays strong. The team knows where to go, what to do, and who to count on. At Creative STEAM Academy, we are looking for that person. We are seeking a confident, organized, people-smart Educational Campus Manager to help lead the daily rhythm of our campus. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves education, kids, understands school environments, can manage people and systems, and is not afraid to jump in wherever needed. If you are the kind of person who can solve a scheduling issue, support a teacher, calm a concerned parent, find a substitute, step into a classroom when needed, and still keep the bigger mission in focus, we would love to meet you. About Creative STEAM Academy Creative STEAM Academy is a progressive hybrid private homeschool learning center in Laguna Woods, CA, serving students in TK-12th grade. We believe education should be meaningful, hands-on, flexible, and as unique as the students we serve. Our program blends academics, enrichment, project-based learning, creativity, social-emotional development, and community. We are not a traditional school model, and that is intentional. Our students thrive in an environment where they are known, supported, challenged, and encouraged to think critically and creatively. We are growing, and we are looking for a strong campus leader who can help us continue building something truly special. The Role The Educational Campus Manager is the person who helps keep our campus running smoothly, safely, and with purpose each day. Working closely with and reporting to the Educational Director, you will help oversee daily campus operations, staff schedules, substitute coverage, teacher and administrative team coordination, family communication, student support, compliance, and overall school culture. This role is both operational and relational. You will manage systems, schedules, and details, but you will also lead people, support teachers, communicate with families, and help protect the positive culture of our school. This is not a sit-behind-a-desk-only position. This is a leadership role for someone who is present, proactive, flexible, and ready to take ownership. What You'll Actually Do Campus Operations & Daily Leadership You will help open and close the campus and ensure the school day runs smoothly from start to finish. You will manage daily campus flow, staff coverage, schedules, transitions, communication, and operational needs. You will help make sure classrooms are covered, staff know where they need to be, and students are supported throughout the day. You will be a visible and trusted presence on campus for teachers, students, administrative staff, and families. You will help solve problems in real time and keep the school day moving with calm, confidence, and professionalism. Staff Scheduling, Team Management & Substitute Coverage You will create, manage, and adjust employee schedules as needed. You will coordinate substitute teachers and coverage when staff are absent. You will support and help manage administrative staff, teachers, aides, and campus team members. You will help onboard new staff and ensure team members understand expectations, procedures, and campus culture. You will help maintain accountability while also creating a supportive and collaborative work environment. You will communicate clearly with staff and make sure everyone has the information they need to do their jobs well. Educational & Classroom Support You should have experience working in education, school settings, homeschooling, teaching, or educational program leadership. Teaching experience is a strong plus, as this person may occasionally need to step into a classroom or support instruction when coverage is needed. You will support the Educational Director with academic programming, classroom systems, student schedules, and curriculum coordination. You will help ensure classroom expectations, behavior systems, and student support strategies are consistent across campus. You will work with teachers to help maintain a positive, engaging, and productive learning environment. Homeschooling experience is a plus, especially experience with charter school families, homeschool vendors, enrichment programs, hybrid learning models, or alternative education. Administration & Compliance You will help manage student records, enrollment workflows, administrative systems, and school communication platforms. You will support compliance with school policies, safety procedures, campus expectations, and educational standards. You will help improve systems and processes so the school operates more efficiently. You will assist with calendars, program schedules, internal communication, family updates, and campus logistics. You will help manage campus supplies, vendor needs, facility requests, and day-to-day operational details as needed. Family Communication & School Culture You will serve as a key point of contact for families regarding campus operations, schedules, school concerns, and general questions. You will communicate with families in a warm, professional, and solution-focused way. You will help support family involvement through school events, workshops, meetings, and community-building opportunities. You will help maintain a school culture that is safe, respectful, inclusive, creative, and student-centered. You will support restorative, fair, and consistent behavioral expectations. You will help champion social-emotional learning, student voice, and whole-child development as part of the daily school experience. Who You Are You are highly organized and can manage a lot of moving pieces without dropping the ball. You are a natural leader who can guide a team with warmth, clarity, and accountability. You love education and understand the importance of supporting both students and staff. You are calm under pressure and can solve problems quickly and professionally. You are comfortable managing staff schedules, substitute coverage, daily logistics, and campus needs. You communicate clearly and confidently with parents, teachers, students, and administrators. You are willing to jump in wherever needed, whether that means supporting a teacher, helping at the front desk, covering a classroom, solving a parent concern, or managing a last-minute schedule change. You are systems-minded but still deeply people-centered. You understand that school operations are not just about checklists. They are about creating an environment where students can thrive and teachers can do their best work.
