Special Requirements All applicants for Student Assistant positions must meet the following departmental eligibility requirements: Enrolled in nine (9) semester/eight (8) quarter units for undergraduate students or six (6) semester/four (4) quarter units for graduate students. Achieved and maintain a 2.0 grade point average in the most recently completed academic term. Declared a major related to the duties of the advertised position and enrolled in coursework required for that major. Proof of application for, or enrollment in, a college curriculum preparing for upper division status in an engineering, architectural or landscape architectural curriculum leading to a bachelor's or advanced degree is required. Physical requirements include strength and ability to move 50 pounds, ability to bend, stoop, stretch, enter/exit vehicles, vaults and structures. Ability to ascent/descent stairs, slopes, ladders and to work in confined spaces. Must have a valid Class C California driver's license as you may be required to travel on State business. Employee is required to successfully complete all safety training related to the functions of the job.
