The Assistant Principal's role is to share in the Principal's responsibilities of managing the school within the Academy's policies and procedures, supporting academic achievement, and supervising certificated and classified employees assigned to the school. Education and Experience:
Possession of the following credentials:

  • Minimum five (5) years of successful teaching experience preferred,3 of which at the Secondary level
  • M.A. /M.S. or higher from an accredited college or university in Educational Administration, Curriculum and Instruction or a closely-related field preferred.
  • English Learner (EL) Certification OR the commitment to obtain an EL Certification within two (2) years of hire date.
  • Knowledge of California curriculum for middle school/high school with an emphasis on STEM is preferred.
  • Knowledge of California public school education and charter school education in particular.

Comments and Other Information Position is for the 2026-2027 school year and is assigned to the High School site. Employee must be available during the core school hours and must work forty (40) hours each week to maintain full-time status. Work is generally performed during regular work hours and extended evenings and/or weekend hours for extra-curricular events, board meetings, special programs, school site operations, or urgent issues as needed. Willingness to attend and actively participate in school-related events outside of regular school hours, including athletic events, Back-to-School Night, Coffee with the Principal, Open House, and other community engagement activities.
